I just finished the 3rd post on how to get ADTELLIGENCE Social Analytics+ working on this blog, it’s a pretty straight forward process.

Tracking the Social

So of course now I’ll be working to show how to do it for a standard web site and not WordPress… now given time I’ll be able to get a better idea about whose reading this blog and thus be able to create content more suitable for them :-)

I just finished the second post on how to add Facebook Connect to WordPress through all the numerous plugins and realized while I’m doing coding so many of my friends are at the Las Vegas SAP TechEd event so I know there might not be a Hacker Night but I still challenge you to get Social Analytics+ into your ABAP program!

The second blog covers turning on Facebook Connect for WordPress and now I am converting my code from the first blog to use the WordPress user in the second blog.

As many of your know I started my new job over at ADTELLIGENCE GmbH on the first of September, it’s been a crazy ride so far now half way through the month and it’s been a fun one too.

Heading up their Marketing and Communications area I thought I’d quite possibly seen my last days of code, but this week proved that was not to be the case! This week at TechCrunch Disrupt SF 2011 we launched some new products, one of which is Social Analytics+ that we also (much to my heart’s content) put out a free version of.

So I decided to create a little blog series on how to actually use this free version and integrate it with your own WordPress blog.

The first part of the series is the basic of getting started….Check it out!

10:26 ccmehil: that is one of the scarier ones – no drinkable water? :-(

10:28 monkchips: industrial use of antibiotics in agriculture
10:29 ccmehil: I saw a docu awhile back about how Germany (maybe EU) ships kilotons of plastic bottles to China every year who then turn them into clothes and sell it back to us
10:29 monkchips: yeah – well at least that’s recycled
10:32 ccmehil: yeah but it’s giant container ships doing the shipping back and forth – I’d think it’d be cheaper to build a factory local to do the same thing and save half the money
10:32 ccmehil: apparently we pay them to tkae the bottles and then buy the recycled product

10:34 monkchips: you can argue shipping has a lower carbon footprint. and it does
10:34 monkchips: *BUT* the diesel fuel they is horrifically polluting
10:34 ccmehil: I’d have to find the docu but it seemed they were sending the ships A LOT
10:34 monkchips: carbon footprint is too blunt a measure
10:35 ccmehil: so what’s the better option to be more precise?
10:36 monkchips: dealing with complexity….
10:36 monkchips: but i think the phrase is good luck with that
